Soy Product Loadout Facility

Project Summary

Our client wanted to replace their loadout system and move it to a new location within their international shipping facility. The new system needed to deliver a soy product into 40-foot sea containers at a rate of 100 tons per hour.

Project Summary

Process Design: Created and finalized P&ID’s of the new loadout system; provided equipment data sheets and vendor pricing for two 400-ton bins; provided final equipment and instrument lists; and developed a functional description of the process.

Mechanical Design: Created and finalized 3D models, preliminary layout and elevation views, and plot plans including an overall plan based on topographic surveying; modeled the 400-ton bins; and designed the fire alarm.

Structural Design: Completed preliminary designs and designed fire pump room and storage areas.

Electrical Design: Developed power plans and lighting concepts.

Other Design Work: Designed concepts for the HVAC system in the new loadout area; coordinated preliminary aspiration designs with chosen vendor; estimated probable costs for the new equipment, construction, site work, building materials and designs.
