Webinar: Decoding Aspiration Designs for Dust Collection and Mitigation

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming webinar focused on effective aspiration design and ventilation standards.

Whether you’re an industry expert or looking to deepen your understanding of aspiration system optimization, this webinar offers a comprehensive overview of design best practices and common pitfalls to avoid.

In this webinar, Phil & Beth break down the following key topics:

  • Introduction to Aspiration Design
    • SMACNA Industrial Standards
    • ACGIH Ventilation
    • Transport Velocity requirements of various materials
    • Constant Velocity Design
    • Pickup Hood Velocity
    • Balancing
    • Dust Collection
    • Explosion Protection and Isolation
  • Bad Aspiration Designs
    • Not using reducing laterals/stepping up the ductwork.
    • Teeing into ducts instead of coming in at an angle
    • Not Balancing correctly and/or not using balancing dampers/blast gates
  • Typical Aspiration Designs for Various Pieces of Equipment
    • Truck LO
    • Screw/Drag Conveyors
    • Bucket Elevators
    • Belt Conveyors
    • Slotted Hoods
    • Moist Dust Designs

Upon completing this webinar, you’ll have a better understanding of what to look for in aspiration design and identify where you may need improvements to maintain safe and consistent operations.

This webinar is for:

  • Plant Engineers
  • Plant Managers
  • EHS Professionals
